The Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum Presents:

WIRELESS INTERNET:
The Next Goldrush

A panel of Wireless Internet experts look at the wireless wave washing across America while reviewing the plans and progress of successful and emerging Wireless Internet content and software ventures.

There are over 300 million wireless devices in the world with another 500 million devices expected to be shipped by 2002. This gigantic market opportunity for mobile internet services and products [e-mail - messaging- games - real-time data - entertainment - services] is at its birthing stage.

This conference will explore the rich mother lodes that will be enabled by these technologies to connect human knowledge in the internet with very mobile humans around the globe.

In this program, the Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum turns to The Wireless Internet theme with its exploding e-commerce market. The following key trends are emerging:

These trends highlight the following questions:

We answer these questions first with a keynote address from the technology founder of Global Crossing, Caltech's own Dr. David Lee. We then turn to our panel of experts for their review of our keynoter's remarks and their perspective on venturing in today's Wireless Internet space. Following a break for networking and refreshments, we ask our panel to elaborate their views while listening to the plans and aspirations of young Wireless Internet ventures. We close the program with a round of audience questions.
