Entrepreneurial
Opportunities
in Software

Please join the Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum and the Software
Council of Southern California for our annual look at areas
of software holding special entrepreneurial promise. Our panel
will examine software opportunities from several perspectives:
venture capitalists, corporate investors and industry analysts
will look at the industry as a whole and distill the highest
potential opportunities for entrepreneurs during the next
several years. Two successful entrepreneurs will then discuss
their businesses and the steps they took to get there, with
practical tips for those looking to enter emerging areas in
the Software Industry.

SOFTWARE COUNCIL OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
The mission of the Software Council of Southern
California is to make the region's software and information
technology companies more successful. Our members consist
of executives and other senior decision makers at Southern
California companies (or divisions of companies) involved
in software, software services or Information Technology.
We foster success by providing educational events, peer-to-peer
executive forums, networking and contacts, access to financing,
public relations and promotional opportunities, assistance
on critical business issues, training and an overall sense
of community. In addition to our members, the Software Council
embraces other constituencies that impact our members' success:
professional service firms, venture capitalists and other
prospective investors, software resellers and other channel
members, the press, research firms, colleges and universities.
